About The Position
Shamrock Roofing & Construction is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist – Collections to join their growing team. This role focuses on managing collections, coordinating with insurance companies, and supporting homeowners to ensure timely payments. The company is a family-owned roofing and construction company headquartered in Kansas City, operating since 1977, with recent growth in the Midwest.
Requirements
- Must be persistent and have a “won't take no for an answer” attitude towards insurance companies.
- Must be a problem solver; capable of figuring things out and finding new avenues to approach issues to achieve the desired outcome
- Quick thinking and adaptability
- A positive “can-do” attitude
- Great with hard deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of G Suite is a plus
- Prior experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies to follow up on pending payments for completed projects
- Serve as the liaison between Project Managers, Insurance Companies, and homeowners
- Negotiate and establish payment plans when necessary
- Locate debtors and initiate recovery processes
- Ensure accurate documentation of all communications and transactions
- Assist other team functions as needed (Invoicing, Permits/Licensing, etc.)
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
