About The Position

The R.A. Siegel Company is seeking a full-time A/R Credit Manager for our Corporate Accounting and Credit Department. Previous experience in commercial credit processes preferred – with a focus on collections and customer account maintenance. Successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to effectively multi-task but most importantly, be a team player and able to grow to maintain business relationships with customers. Position Overview: Represent The R.A. Siegel Company in a professional manner, with the responsibility for collecting funds, while working as a partner with the Sales and Customer Service departments. This hourly paid position reports to the Financial Controller.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, related college degree is preferred
  • Previous work related experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills, advanced skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Strong Excel
  • Work hours: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts
  • Maintain and build relationships with customers to ensure continued business
  • Collection calls
  • Issue credits to clean-up Accounts Receivable.
  • Answer billing inquiries
  • Approve and release orders on hold
  • Review COD orders to collect
  • Call and secure payments
  • Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Document and resolve A/R issues to completion
  • Back-up to Customer Service department
  • Work closely with others, especially sales, customer service and shipping
  • Review customer credit applications and approve if to offer terms
  • Initiate and execute process improvements to increase productivity within the department
