This role oversees and trains Business Office Managers at various facilities, ensuring accurate record-keeping for accounts receivable, cash, DSO, and bad debt. The position involves organizing, implementing, and developing company policies and procedures in compliance with State and Federal standards. The AR Area Manager/Consultant is responsible for maintaining current and accurate records, including bank reconciliations, census, and patient personal fund interest-bearing accounts. This role also involves assisting and training on monthly billing processes for various payers, collection efforts, and month-end closing procedures. A key aspect is ensuring billing compliance for all claims and participating in utilization meetings. The position also handles refund and write-off processing, oversees the AR aging report, and manages resident trust accounts, including balancing and interest allocation, in compliance with regulations. The role involves referring and strategizing with collection lawyers, assisting in court cases, and managing Medicare audit notifications. New hire orientation and training on trust, AR payers, and billing/collection functions are also part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves auditing business files, communicating policy requirements, and fulfilling BOM duties during vacancies. The AR Area Manager/Consultant may also assist in BOM interviews and hiring and undertake other projects assigned by the CFO.
