About The Position

Weston & Sampson Services is seeking an Aquatics Technician based out of our Wilmington, MA location. This role involves performing recurring pool operation contracts, on-call emergency services, and startup of filters and chemical systems. The technician will also be responsible for upselling UV, CPO, and maintenance contracts, ensuring site adherence to company protocols and regulations, and assisting with pool construction and repairs. Key duties include performing pool inspections, maintenance, and repair tasks, as well as UV, heater, controller, and VFD startups. The role requires communication with the scheduler regarding manpower needs, collaboration with the Construction Manager and Foreman, tracking long lead items, monitoring labor and material expenses, maintaining client communication, documenting site activities, and addressing client issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years technical swimming pool, mechanical maintenance and repairs related experience with progressively more responsibility.
  • OSHA 10
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
  • Ability to troubleshoot pool water chemistry and equipment failures is a must.
  • Must be proficient in servicing all commercial swimming pool equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform recurring (daily/weekly/monthly) pool operation contracts
  • Perform on-call emergency services.
  • Startup filters and chemical systems.
  • Upsell UV, CPO, and maintenance contracts for all new projects.
  • Work with Corporate Safety Officer to ensure sites adhere to company protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with pool construction and repairs as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform pool inspections, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Perform UV, heater, controller, and VFD Startups.
  • Communicate with scheduler on manpower needs.
  • Works collaboratively with Construction Manager and Foreman
  • Track and follow up on long lead items to make sure they are on schedule.
  • Be aware of the labor time and material expenses for the project.
  • Sustain strong communication with the client.
  • Document site activities.
  • Address client issues and queries in accurate and timely manner.
  • Upsell maintenance and repair services
