About The Position

The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising aquatics operations and staff. This role involves developing and administering the pools infrastructure program, overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of pools and facilities, and participating in budget preparation and administration. The supervisor will also answer public inquiries regarding aquatic operations and activities, coordinate and promote programs and special events, and serve as the administrator for the Irving Aquatics Association and the natatorium. Work locations may include the North Lake Natatorium and the Cimarron Family Aquatic Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with major coursework in aquatics administration or a closely related field
  • Three years of relevant experience
  • One year of supervisory or lead experience
  • Extensive knowledge in water chemistry and mechanical systems relating to pool operations
  • Strong public relations and customer service skills
  • Must have or be able to obtain within one year of employment the following certifications: Lifeguard Training and Instructor, CPR for Professional Rescuer and First Aid Instructor, Community First Aid and Safety Instructor, AED Instructor and O2 Instructor
