The YMCA of the National Capital Region is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Aquatics department. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality programs, exceptional member experiences, and compliance with YMCA and legislative standards. The Aquatics Supervisor will lead frontline staff and volunteers by providing coaching, training, scheduling support, performance feedback, and operational guidance, while fostering a positive, accountable, and service-focused team culture. The position is responsible for the daily operation of aquatic programs and services, including staff supervision, program quality, participation growth, scheduling, certifications, member experience, and regulatory compliance. The role involves monitoring program performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to increase participation, retention, and operational efficiency. Collaborating with the General Manager and other department leaders, the Aquatics Supervisor supports departmental goals through effective leadership, continuous improvement, staff development, and data-informed decision-making. This position serves as the operational lead for aquatics during assigned shifts and contributes to the overall success of the Health, Fitness & Aquatics department.
