Aquatics Program Lead-Burke County
About The Position
The Burke County Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Aquatics Program Lead to help lead our aquatics programs and create a safe, welcoming experience for members of all ages. This position supports the day-to-day operation of the Aquatics Department, including swim lessons, water aerobics, lifeguarding, Safety Around Water programs, staff scheduling and development, pool operations, and special programs. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who enjoys developing staff, building relationships, and creating high-quality programs that reflect the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is required
Nice To Haves
- Related college education preferred
- 1–2 years of aquatics leadership, programming, or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Aquatics Department
