About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled tasks involved in the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aquatic fixtures and related equipment. This position is part of an examination process to create an eligibility list for filling vacancies. The eligibility list may be used for up to six months or one year depending on employment status. External candidates, probationary full-time, part-time, and temporary City of Henderson employees will start at the first step of the salary range if selected.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or the equivalent
  • Three (3) years of work experience with increasing responsibility in an aquatics related capacity working with commercial or municipal pool maintenance and service which includes two (2) years plumbing maintenance
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license, as defined by NRS 483
  • Must possess at the time of application: Certified Pool Operators (CPO) Certificate OR an Aquatic Facility Operator’s (AFO) Certificate
  • All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by State and Federal Laws or as required herein, must be obtained and maintained at the incumbents’ expense
