About The Position

We are looking for a certified aquatics group exercise instructor who loves what
they do and also knows that a group exercise class can engage a member like
nothing else! An instructor who understands that connecting with members in
class can inspire and set members on a track to a healthier life and improved

Requirements

• Age 18+
• Have 2+ years Aquatics Fitness or Fitness Instructor experience preferred
• Have an Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification
• Can perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen or ability to pass provided trainings
• The ability to adapt your class/style for the members in front of you

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years Aquatics Fitness or Fitness Instructor experience

Responsibilities

• Conducting primarily deep water workouts
• Finding new and engaging ways to connect with our members during class
• Instructing an effective, safe class for all abilities at the YMCA
• Willing and able to serve as a substitute for fellow instructors
