About The Position

The Guilderland YMCA is seeking a Full-Time Aquatics Director to oversee the aquatics department. This role includes managing the pool operations, aquatics programs, staff, and budget. The Director will also be responsible for youth and adult swim teams and special events, developing, organizing, and implementing high-quality, member-focused YMCA aquatic programs.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.
AA/AS in Physical Ed., Recreation, Sports Mgt., or a related field OR equivalent experience.
Current aquatic certifications (YMCA or American Red Cross).
Basic knowledge of computers.
Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience with budget mgmt. is preferred.
