About The Position

The Aquatics Center Manager plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates all Aquatics Center and Splash Park operations. This role involves recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating aquatics staff. The manager is responsible for developing and administering aquatics programs, swim lessons, water fitness classes, special events, and recreational activities. Additionally, the Aquatics Center Manager coordinates facility inspections and conducts regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with Arkansas State Board of Health requirements, investigates accidents and incidents, and prepares required reports. The position also entails developing and maintaining partnerships with local businesses, civic organizations, schools, and outside agencies to promote the aquatics facility, and identifying, soliciting, securing, and managing sponsorships and donations to support programs, special events, facility improvement, and community initiatives. All other duties as assigned will also be performed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five (5) years of experience in aquatics, recreation, pool operations, and facility management or closely related field, including supervising personnel, managing facility operations, and coordinating programs and special events
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification (or obtainable within six months)
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or obtainable within six months)
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification (or obtainable within six months)
  • Aquatics Facility Operator certification (or obtainable within six months)
  • Pool Operator certification (or obtainable within six months)
  • CPR/AED certification (or obtainable within six months)
