About The Position

Supervises and oversees the operation of the Aquatics Department, and pool deck. Assures the Aquatics Department is operating consistent to the level expected by Broken Sound Club. Maintains member satisfaction at the highest level. Supervises the Pool Attendants. Responsible for all staffing and training of department employees will include review of emergency procedures, club policies, Associate regulations, and safety information. Organization of the total aquatic program and monitoring progress toward attainment of program objective. Must respond to member satisfaction of programs and make any necessary adjustments. Must oversee the testing and adjustment of water in all pools, assuring the water is in constant compliance with County, State and National Industry Standards. Responsible for overseeing repairs and maintenance of all pool and related equipment. Assist the Aquatics Director with the supervision of the night time cleaning crews care and maintenance of the facilities and must monitor same during hours of operation. Must assure that all staff present themselves in a professional, well-groomed manner and must constantly maintain a positive rapport with members. Must create professional and friendly environment for all members, guests, co-workers and management. Ensure a safe Aquatics Center daily. Must continuously review all department procedures and policies and revise as necessary in accordance with Director's approval.

Requirements

  • Necessary to obtain certification as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) (Can get on the job within 6 months)
  • Must have current certification in American Red Cross standard First Aid, and CPR
  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. floor to waist and overhead without assistance and able to assist other team members in lifting items >50 lbs.
  • Able to stand, walk and work long hours between rest periods.
  • Able to reach, bend, climb, grasp, kneel, push, pull, and twist as needed.
  • Must speak, read and write English in a clear and concise manner.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
