About The Position

Aquatic Control Inc. is seeking an Aquatic Biologist for its Williamsville, IL office. This role involves hands-on work in pond and lake management, including the application of aquatic herbicides and algaecides, installation and maintenance of water features, conducting surveys, and developing management plans. The position requires significant field work, especially from March through October, and offers opportunities for professional development and public engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources-related field
  • Insurable Driving Record
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening & DOT Physical
  • Comfortable Driving Truck & Boat Trailer Combination
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
  • Ability to work an average of 50-60 hours per week
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outboard motor operation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Application of EPA registered aquatic herbicides and algaecides
  • Installation and maintenance of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems
  • Aquatic plant surveys
  • Writing vegetation management plans
  • Performing fish surveys
  • Attending industry related training events and conferences
  • Heavy field work from March through October
  • General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds
  • Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, and public meetings
