About The Position

Responsible for teaching Aqua Group Fitness classes of varying formats. Must comply with stipulations set by American Arthritis Foundations and generally accepted aquatic standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Must hold current aquatic certification from recognized and accredited board or organization, or willing to obtain certification.
• Must have current CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe and effective aquatic exercise classes for groups of various fitness levels.
• Responsible for instructing all aquatic fitness participants, and giving appropriate options and modifications.
• Plan routines, select music, and choose appropriate movements for well balanced, whole body workouts.
• Provide safe and effective instruction of equipment used during class.
• Maintain the safety of aquatic class participants.
• Maintain and record participant information and data.
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
