Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Direct RN Nursing Care experience with 2 years in a clinical environment and evidence of experience in leadership or independent practice roles
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License (Primary Care, Pediatric, Acute Care Pediatric, or Family) required
Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e., scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment).
Must have normal communication sensory requirement.
Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated.

Nice To Haves

Preferred nursing experience in pediatric, obstetrical or gynecological setting.
Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire.
Demonstrated communication (written and oral) problem-solving, leadership and collaborative skills, strong patient advocacy and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe appropriate medical treatments, and manage patient health concerns in collaboration with the designated physician.
Coordinate specialized, multidisciplinary care and facilitate consultations to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate treatment.
Manage post-procedure immunosuppression therapy and laboratory monitoring in coordination with physicians and pharmacists.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage patient health concerns while serving as an interdisciplinary resource, consultant, and patient advocate.
Accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes within applicable critical care systems.
Participate in institutional initiatives and encourage collaboration across teams.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs using evidence-based practices to support high-quality patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
