About The Position

The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is responsible for providing medical services for the patients of Heart of Florida Health Center. The ARNP will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients.

Requirements

Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Florida state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
Current BLS Certificate from nationally recognized organizations that include hands-on skills verification. Online-only or non-recognized certifications are not accepted.
National certification in your NP specialty area through an accredited certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
Maintain continuing education requirements to renew licensure and certification periodically.
Complete credentialing process as required by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of primary care principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and medical software.

Provides comprehensive outpatient primary care services, including acute and chronic care and preventive and health maintenance.
Follows current disease management protocols and clinical guidelines outlined in HFHC policy to enhance clinical performance.
Conducts physical assessments using observation, inspection, auscultation, palpation, and percussion, orders/tests, analyzes, and interprets diagnostic images to evaluate the patient's condition, and prescribes medications and therapies for treatment and preventive care.
Ensures appropriate medical management of acute and chronic conditions as indicated by outcomes on Quality Measures Performance, and other relevant reports (peer reviews, any focused reviews, and patient satisfaction surveys).
Ensures timely completion of required documentation and assigned tasks according to HFHC policies and procedures, including documents, progress notes, telephone encounters, labs, medication refills, referrals, and other necessary tasks.
Provides required information and signatures for participation in reimbursement arrangements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other plans.
Maintains an updated CAQH profile and completes attestations every 90 days.
Reports relevant information or situations affecting patient care or HFHC liability to the Medical Director and/or CMO, as necessary.
Serves as a resource for medical and operations support staff.
Completes all required training courses (Compliatric courses) on time and maintains proper certification.
Participates in Peer Review and Quality Assurance activities as requested.
Always maintains a proper and professional appearance.
Submits necessary information to the Health Department in accordance with state law regarding communicable diseases.
Performs other duties as assigned.
