The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is responsible for providing medical services for the patients of Heart of Florida Health Center. The APRN will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients. This role involves representing HFHC Values and Mission, adhering to all HFHC policies and procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism. The APRN provides comprehensive outpatient primary care services, including acute and chronic care, preventive care, and health maintenance, following current disease management protocols and clinical guidelines. Key duties include conducting physical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and therapies, ensuring appropriate medical management of conditions, and timely completion of all required documentation. The APRN also provides necessary information for reimbursement arrangements, maintains a CAQH profile, reports relevant patient care issues to the Medical Director and/or CMO, serves as a resource for staff, completes required training, and participates in Peer Review and Quality Assurance activities.
