UofL Health/UofL Physicians Group is seeking a Full-Time outpatient Pain Management APRN/PA to support their Interventional Pain Specialist. This role involves coordinating the planning, implementation, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of pain management patients in collaboration with a designated licensed physician. Responsibilities include examining and diagnosing patient conditions, educating patients on medical and procedural options, prescribing medications and treatments, assisting in coordinating the continuum of care, and performing other duties to support patients. The APRN will also provide symptom management for side effects related to oncologic treatment, assist with admissions, maintain oversight of the survivorship program and clinic, and share clinical expertise. The position requires working collaboratively and independently, documenting and reporting care accurately and timely, and collaborating with other health disciplines to ensure continuity and quality of care. The role also involves promoting evidence-based nursing practice and research by participating in clinical research and leading efforts in scientific inquiry. There is a varied schedule with a mutually agreed-upon call schedule, and assistance in the Operating Room may be necessary. The APRN must maintain professional certification in their specialty area and attend educational conferences. The position requires compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct, as well as HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
