About The Position

UofL Health/UofL Physicians is seeking an APRN/PA Nocturnist Hospitalist for UofL Health Hospital. The APRN/PA Hospitalist will function in collaboration with the medical director in the care of adult patients with critical illness on the mixed acuity units. His/her primary responsibility as a member of team will be management of a case load of critically ill patients in a primarily mixed acuity/transitional care unit setting. They will perform physical exams, collect and document data, organize and perform approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consults, prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, and provide direct patient care services to admitted Internal Medicine patients. The Hospitalist APP will contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provide leadership within the organization and the nursing profession.

Requirements

Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
Current licensure in state of Kentucky as an APRN.
National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Current DEA certificate without restriction.
Current BLS.
Must be ACLS Certified.
