About The Position
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is critical for patient care across the ambulatory and inpatient settings within the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair. APRNs have independent clinic sessions during the week in order to see pre-operative; post-operative; and established patients to ensure high-quality patient care across the continuum of care. APRNs support specific neurosurgeons during their clinic sessions that allow for additional patients to be scheduled within their templates. APRNs manage hospital care of neurosurgery patients according to the protocols established with the neurosurgeons and their hospital. APRN's may assist neurosurgeons in Operating Room.
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) qualification.
- Ability to manage independent clinic sessions.
- Ability to manage hospital care of neurosurgery patients.
- Ability to work according to established protocols.
- May require assistance in the Operating Room.
