Assists physician in the care and teaching of patients. This role involves assessing patient status, writing prescriptions, determining eligibility for clinical trials, interpreting diagnostic studies, and collaborating with physicians on patient care. The position also includes managing family dynamics, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, providing on-call coverage, triaging patients, documenting care, and promoting cancer treatment to the public. The APRN Oncology will also be responsible for determining work priorities, ensuring proper completion of assignments, and complying with all relevant laws and regulations. Adherence to company policies, including IT and Disaster Recovery, is required. Other duties include maintaining a neat work area, ensuring equipment is in good working order, maintaining patient and employee confidentiality, and assisting in training new employees. The role may require working at any company location, including overtime when necessary.
