Serves as a provider of clinical services within the scope and practice guidelines of the State Nurse Practice Act and SFHS policies. This position requires a Master's or higher-level educational program in an advanced practice nursing area from an accredited collegiate program. The role involves performing clinical services including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of care, consulting and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers, and documenting services according to established policies. The APRN will also perform procedures, promote patient wellness through education, and utilize advanced clinical knowledge to meet patient needs. As appropriate, the role includes performing complete physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and initiating drug therapy. The position also involves participating in quality initiatives, safety functions, and remaining informed and compliant with OSHA and HIPAA policies.
