About The Position

We are proud to offer the Advance Manufacturing program with the Texas Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (Texas FAME). This program is open to candidates interested in building a career in manufacturing by completing an associate's degree in advanced manufacturing technology (AMT).
The AMT program offers on-the-job training and formal academic advancement in a community college. The program focuses on professional presence (soft skills), lean manufacturing acumen, and technical skill attainment.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma with college ready passing score (SAT/ACT) or willing to take placement tests or remedial courses.
• Ability to apply and be accepted to local community college.
• Physical dexterity.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly motivated & a self-starter.
• Good Interpersonal skills.
