About The Position

This is an entry-level role for an individual who is mechanically inclined and enjoys working with their hands. The position involves maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electrical systems, and machine repair on large equipment. The company is a premier manufacturer of custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications worldwide. Scot Forge is a 130-year-old, 100% employee-owned company.

Requirements

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to perform basic shop math calculations.
• Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 65 lbs.
• Desire to work hard and willing to learn.
• Actively participate to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
• Must pass a hair follicle drug screen, lift test up to 65 lbs and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical.
• Emergency and unscheduled repairs of mills, lathes, saws, furnaces, etc.
• Dismantle electrical and mechanical equipment, replace parts, re-assemble and test.
• Perform calibrations, testing and tuning according to specification.
