Mercy Church Apprenticeship

Fixed Term Program•Charlotte, NC

About The Position

Mercy Church and Reliant offer a support-raised, summer-long apprenticeship for people interested in vocational ministry. The program is the first step in a developmental pathway intended to help future church leaders grow and eventually be sent out. Apprentices develop character and competency, with a focus on self-leadership—the ability to lead oneself before leading others. The application process has three phases. First, applicants complete a 10–15-minute questionnaire to provide employment information. After an application is reviewed and approved, the local assessment phase may involve another questionnaire or an interview with local supervisors. If the local organization decides to proceed, it informs Reliant, and the applicant registers for Reliant-run support-raising training to continue onboarding for support-based ministry.
