About The Position

This is an entry-level position designed to provide students with a broad base of knowledge in Endura Products Manufacturing and Support areas. The apprentice will learn about production control, quality, inventory, product and process engineering, testing, tool and die, and manufacturing processes related to door entry systems. The role involves job shadowing in manufacturing to understand how different product lines work together. The first year will focus on hands-on experience with scheduling, inventory, and quality, emphasizing safe work practices and communication. The program aims to develop skills necessary for a full apprenticeship and prepare the individual for hands-on manufacturing roles. Regular meetings with program leads will track learning and progress.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent attendance in class and during assigned work hours.
  • Must have basic PC Skills.
  • Ability to use a Tape Measure, Calipers, Gauges and other QC Tools/Equipment.
  • Must be able to utilize a Scan Gun.
  • Must learn a thorough knowledge of aluminum profiles for identification.
  • Must have good basic computer skills and ability to learn and utilize Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Must display a positive attitude and maintain positive working relationships with peers and all support groups. Must be a team player.
  • Ability to retain coaching and training in scheduling, inventory, product development, testing and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Complete safety orientation and fully follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Be active in the Safety Awareness/Suggestion Program.
  • Provide effective communication (verbally & written), with ability to understand verbal and written communication.
  • Read a Tape Measure, use Calipers and other QC tools/gauges to dimensionally check product to specifications per Product Print & Standard Work or have the capability to learn.
  • Visually identify Raw Material as well as Semi-Finished Product.
  • Become familiar with all production scheduling and internal specification sheet creations.
  • Demonstrate excellent retention of training on part numbers including raw, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Display a positive attitude and maintain positive working relationships with peers and all support groups. Be a team player.
  • Retain coaching and training in scheduling, inventory, product development, testing and quality.
  • Utilize a Scan Gun.
  • Learn a thorough knowledge of aluminum profiles for identification.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as specified in the Endura’s Safety Manual.
  • Wear proper safety attire such as Earplugs and Safety Glasses.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
  • Maintain regular attendance, which is an essential job function.
