At Zeeco Europe, based in Rutland just outside Stamford, we’re growing our Manufacturing team and looking for motivated future engineers to join us on a four‑year apprenticeship programme. You’ll combine hands‑on experience in our workshop with dedicated college training, developing real skills from day one. You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly team where you can be yourself, push your potential, and take pride in the work you do. You’ll spend one day a week at college and four days in our workshop, learning how to fabricate and weld to industry standards.

Requirements

  • 18 or over by September (insurance requirement).
  • GCSE‑qualified with at least four passes including Maths, English and Science, plus a relevant post‑GCSE college course.
  • Genuinely hands‑on — maybe you enjoy fixing things, understanding how machines work, or getting involved in practical projects at school, home or in clubs.
  • Full of initiative, adaptable, eager to learn and driven to succeed — the qualities we look for in every Zeeco recruit.
  • Living within 45 minutes of our Stamford site.

Responsibilities

  • Working safely at all times and following all relevant health, safety, environmental and ISO requirements.
  • Preparing and planning fabrication activities using detailed engineering drawings, working with carbon steel, stainless steel and high‑nickel alloys.
  • Setting up, checking and maintaining fabrication and welding equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, patterns and templates to produce and assemble complex fabricated components.
  • Operating cutting, drilling and shaping equipment, and welding using TIG and MIG processes to meet strict quality specifications.
  • Restoring your work area to a safe condition and completing all required documentation throughout each job.
