About The Position
PasWord Protection Services is a trusted local security company serving homes and businesses across the Golden Horseshoe. We’re hiring an Apprentice Technician to learn the trade alongside experienced techs—installing and servicing intrusion alarms, cameras, access control, and monitoring-related equipment.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and working on ladders (as required)
- Good communication—you’ll be in customers’ homes and businesses
- Valid driver’s license + clean driving record (preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Cabling experience (CAT5/6, coax, low-voltage)
- Prior construction/renovation experience
- Basic networking knowledge
- Alarm/camera/access control familiarity
Responsibilities
- Assist with alarm and security system installations (residential + commercial)
- Help with service calls: troubleshooting, repairs, small upgrades
- Support camera system installs (mounting, running cable, basic setup)
- Learn best practices for clean wiring, labeling, documentation, and customer walk-throughs
- Keep jobsites safe, tidy, and professional
