About The Position

The Apprentice Technician is a heavy equipment mechanic specializing in the maintenance and repair of cranes. This role involves performing routine maintenance, such as lubricating parts, and fixing malfunctions. The position operates within a safety-first environment at HCSG, a 24/7 service company. Technicians are required to be available on-call and provide after-hours or weekend services as needed to meet customer demands.

Requirements

0 - 2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility.
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must always commit to working and driving safely.
Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background (DISA) and submit to random and annual drug testing as required.

Nice To Haves

Vocational/Technical training certificate.
Some electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools.

Responsibilities

Be on-call and provide after-hour services as required.
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders.
Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule and complete daily work.
Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
Notify immediate supervisor of any deficiencies.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Attend company-provided trainings and seminars as required.
Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
