About The Position
Our Registered Apprentice Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity. This is a Full Time, Permanent position. The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available. As an Apprentice Technician, you will experience working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority. You will work for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand. Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- Currently enrolled, or completion of a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
- Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure our internal and external customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner in a positive, engaging environment of teamwork, career development and lifelong learning for opportunities across our business.
