About The Position
The Apprentice Teacher assists the Teacher to coordinate and implement daily preschool academy activities for the students in his/her classroom.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with young children, e.g., summer camp
- Within 120 days of hire must enroll in the Hopkins House Early Childhood Learning Institute (ECLI) to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA)
Responsibilities
- Assists in maintaining safe and clean classroom environment
- Assists in the supervision of children in the classroom
- Participates in all classroom and school related activities
- Keeps the Lead Teacher informed regarding classroom activities and events
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Provides such other related duties as may be assigned
