About The Position

We are looking for multiple Entry Level Service Technicians to join our fast-paced, energetic dealership in Swift Current, SK. This large shop has several areas of focus and is currently looking to add entry level Ag mechanics (Apprentice level 1, 2, or 3 in Ag or related field) to work on their Heavy Ag repair, PDI/Set-Up, or Turf/Lawn & Garden equipment. Afternoon shift 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm Monday-Friday. ($5.00 per hour SHIFT PREMIUM for qualifying shifts). Our Apprentices participate in on-the-job training and are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers by repairing and maintaining agricultural and turf equipment. Requirements

  • Have a positive attitude & demonstrate a willingness to learn and succeed
  • Be mechanically minded, and have experience performing service repairs/maintenance
  • May currently be an Apprentice in a mechanical field or have the drive to become an apprentice
  • High School Diploma/equivalent
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Having knowledge and familiarity with John Deere and competitive products would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair and service agricultural equipment with a commitment to customer support and pride in workmanship
  • Use specialized tools, cutting edge technology, and innovative solutions to complete repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules/standards on equipment and related components
  • Gain knowledge of John Deere agriculture products
  • Use some diagnostic tools and computer functions
  • Attend & participate in: Apprenticeship training, John Deere University training and dealer-led training to further develop skills and technical capabilities
