MEI Industrial Solutions is hiring participants for its Rigger Apprenticeship Trainee Program, designed for people with little or no machinery-moving or rigging experience who want to begin a skilled trades career. The multi-phase program teaches core rigging skills through hands-on training, activities, and assessments that may take place in lab or field environments. Upon completion, participants will have developed the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for various machinery-moving and rigging positions, with opportunities to advance through targeted skills development and training oversight. Training covers MEI’s safety culture, job hazard analysis and pre-task planning, fall protection, forklift and crane awareness, inspections, rigging techniques, tools, material handling, machine securement and leveling, and related equipment operations. Participants must complete program assignments and assessments, including any pre-work or homework. Six in-person, three-day seminars are scheduled every two months beginning in July 2026; travel to training may be required. The work is physical and may involve climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Participants must be willing to work outdoors year-round and function effectively as part of a team while demonstrating honesty, integrity, professionalism, pride in their work, open communication, and a commitment to quality customer service. Candidates who accept an offer must complete a five-panel drug test and criminal background check. MEI Industrial Solutions provides rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packing services. The company describes its values as integrity, respect, professionalism, safety, commitment, and results, and says it invests in employee training, support, and tools.
