About The Position

Harris-Dudley Co. is seeking a full-time entry-level Apprentice Plumber to assist our experienced plumbing technicians in the Park City, Salt Lake, and Utah County areas while learning this skilled trade. This entry-level skilled trade position works Monday-Thursday from 7 am-5:30 pm with some overtime opportunities available and limited on-call duties. The starting wage is $18.50 an hour and raises are given every 6 months and until apprentices earn $30.00 an hour! Earn even more once you pass the Utah State Journeyman Plumber's Test. Harris-Dudley Co. is the leading provider for plumbing, HVAC, radiant floor heating, and snowmelt system installation for custom homes in the Park City, Salt Lake, and Utah County areas. We also service and repair these systems to make sure our customer's homes remain comfortable and operating in tip-top shape. We strive to create great long-term relationships with our customers and contractors that keep them coming back for more. We have a great group of people on our team who are always willing to help each other and share their knowledge and experience. We work on interesting projects and have a lot of variety in our work. But, through camaraderie, teamwork, and continually improving our skills, we know we can complete the most complicated projects. We are proud of our work and it shows! As an entry-level Apprentice Plumber, you ask questions, observe, and emulate the values we adhere to here at Harris-Dudley. You go out in the field with experienced plumbing technicians. While being their helper, they mentor and train you on everything from how to install water & drain lines, radiant floor heating, and snowmelt systems to how to professionally interact with our clients.

Requirements

  • Valid driving license with a good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Honest, hard-working individual.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter willing to ask questions.
  • Team player interested in a long-term career in an essential skilled trade.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Construction experience.
  • Plumbing or trade school experience.
