About The Position

The basic functions of the Apprentice Plumber are to: Assist the Plumber on the job site, loading the truck with tools and/or materials, assist with inventory of truck supplies and job site material inventory. Help care for company property (i.e. trucks, tools, equipment). Keep work area neat and clean. Willingness to learn and take direction/instructions from management REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: The Apprentice reports directly to the Foreman or Superintendent for job related direction.

Requirements

Some high school
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50 pounds
OSHA 10 Certification (or within 90 days from date of hire)
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time
Ability to stoop, squat, sit, stand and climb stairs and ladders
Ability to negotiate around crowded construction sites in varying weather conditions and varying types of terrain
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to use both hands for repetitive actions requiring simple to firm grasp and/or fine manipulations
Must have the ability to use all senses in order to perform daily tasks and interact with others as required
Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to perform duties
Must have the ability to accurately measure, be alert and cautious and work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 months plumbing or general construction experience
Same as above but with working knowledge of plumbing
