Apprentice Parts Counterperson
About The Position
This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Abbotsford, British Columbia. As a Parts Counterperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians in obtaining required parts and supplies while achieving monthly sales targets through encouraging additional parts sales. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 4+ years of work experience in a parts counter role
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Great interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work with others
- Ability to self-manage time and set priorities while handling multiple responsibilities
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Forklift Certification or ability to attain certification
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary diploma or trade certification preferred
- Prior parts counter sales experience or parts/warehousing knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
- Promote sale of parts and accessories to all customers: walk-in, telephone or internal technicians
- Provide exceptional customer service to maximum customer satisfaction
- Keep abreast of all new products and updates through continuous learning
- Locate all parts as requested by customers and/or technicians
- Prepare parts invoices and credit notes for all counter sales and issues parts for all work orders
- Participate in regular inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining stock
- Accurately document all shipping and receiving of parts
- Maintain files and update parts related information on a regular basis
