About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Apprentice Operator performs a variety of tasks related to the construction and maintenance of city infrastructure. This position may perform street, storm water, traffic, right-of way, general labor, maintenance and repairs to public infrastructure. Operates and maintains hand tools, trucks and equipment. The City of Lee's Summit is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Apprentice Operator in the Public Works Operations Department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver's License

• Experience is welcome, but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Street maintenance
• Stormwater maintenance
• Mowing, tree trimming, debris removal
• Work zone setup
• Bridge maintenance
• Rights of way maintenance
• Snow removal
• Operates and maintains hand tools, trucks and equipment.
