Apprentice Mechanic (Automotive & Small Engine)
About The Position
This position works cohesively with their department to achieve a high standard of work in order to maintain the fleet of vehicles & equipment owned by Seasonal Impact. This work includes but is not limited to vehicle & equipment repairs, inspections, routine maintenance, and all other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager. Conduct regular maintenance inspection reports on all equipment and vehicles, keeping dated records of all performed maintenance. Respond and act upon service requests from field personnel, which includes, but is not limited to, field repairs of vehicles and various equipment. Ensure all repairs and maintenance done are in accordance with best practices, industry standards, and any relevant legislation. Respond to immediate safety and/or operational concerns and take appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and maintain a high-functioning work environment. Knowledge of small-engine repair and maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, and automotive repair and maintenance. The organizational and time management skills required to maintain a growing fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Knowledge of small-engine repair and maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, and automotive repair and maintenance.
- Organizational and time management skills required to maintain a growing fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Some small engine mechanic experience is an asset
