About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Meat Cutter to ensure meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. This role involves receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products. The apprentice will also order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen food products within the meat department, manage inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste, and assist customers with special requests and inquiries. This is an hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must successfully pass apprentice / training program
Must have TB Clearance
Must comply with all company policies and requirements

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products.
Receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and attractively merchandising meat department products.
Ordering and stocking prepackaged deli items and frozen food products that fall under the meat department.
Ensuring proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste.
Assisting customers with special requests and answering questions about meat products and services.
