About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Meat Cutter to join their team. This is a part-time position (24+ hours) where the individual will be responsible for ensuring meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products. The role also involves ordering and stocking prepackaged deli and frozen food items within the meat department, managing inventory control and product rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste, and assisting customers with special requests and inquiries. Meat cutters utilize equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must successfully pass apprentice / training program.
Must have TB Clearance.
Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
