About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Meat Cutter to join their team. This is an hourly, part-time position (24+ hours per week) where you will be responsible for ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products. You will also order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen food products within the meat department. Maintaining proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste is crucial. Additionally, you will assist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services. This role involves working with equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must successfully pass apprentice / training program.
Must have TB Clearance.
Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred.
