About The Position

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the incumbent will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks of IAIA facilities, vehicles and/or equipment, which includes essential physical components material to the position and tasks often performed outdoors. Support IAIA’s mission, vision and core values. The Apprentice will be trained in various maintenance functions.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma.
Must have a current and valid NM drivers’ license.
Must have a clean driving record, in order to be bondable to drive an IAIA vehicle.
Must have an acceptable background check results.
Adhere to appropriate standards of conduct and ethics, including confidentiality, integrity and honesty.
Ability to follow directions and to adapt to changing work environments.
Work respectfully with others; participates in pro-active problem solving.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, complete jobs as assigned in a timely manner.
Practice safe and responsible work habits to ensure own and others safety.

Responsibilities

Complete in an accurate and timely manner a wide range of assigned maintenance tasks, work-orders and/or a project on IAIA facilities and grounds.
Filter replacement and coil cleaning of HVAC units
Minor carpentry, painting and drywall repairs
Minor electrical work, change outlets, lights, ballasts, etc
Minor plumbing, faucets, toilets, leaks
Assist with the assembly of furniture and fixtures.
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of IAIA vehicles.
Complete assigned errands for the department, such as the purchase of supplies or delivery of items/materials.
Responsible for assisting with snow removal and general upkeep of Campus grounds.
Assist with meeting and conference set-ups.
Complete other duties as assigned
