About The Position

Primoris Power Delivery is seeking Apprentice Linemen for underground power distribution projects. With over 70 years of operating experience, Primoris Power Delivery services include engineering and design, installation and maintenance, material and equipment procurement, and repair of electrical transmission, distribution, substation, and wireless communication, as well as storm restoration. Our experience ranges from small engineering and consulting projects to multi-million dollar turn-key distribution, substation, and transmission line programs.

Requirements

• Must have CDL.
• Prior underground construction experience.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Able to successfully complete both an oral, written exam and proficiency demonstration to determine position level.
• Able to provide your own tools and gear.
• Able to work outside in various weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold temperatures.
• Must possess the physical dexterity to be able to lift a minimum of 50 LBS and safely perform other physical work.
• Able to travel on short-term basis.
• All positions require participation in federally compliant FMSCA drug and alcohol testing program.

Nice To Haves

• A Class A CDL is highly preferred, with endorsements.
• North Carolina residency preferred or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all tasks associated with high voltage electrical lines.
• Perform basic maintenance such as routine inspections, modification, installation and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and facilities.
• Participate in federally compliant FMSCA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Other duties as assigned.
