About The Position
Laurens Electric Cooperative is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Line Technician to join our team. This position is part of a structured 4-5 year apprenticeship program designed to develop the technical skills, safety knowledge, and hands on experience required for a successful career as a Line Technician. This position could be located at either of our Operations Centers: Laurens Office (2254 Highway 14, Laurens, SC 29360) or North Office (3297 Highway 417, Woodruff, SC 29388). The schedule is Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, plus on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Must be motivated and dependable.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations.
- Willingness to complete coursework through Northwest Lineman College.
Nice To Haves
- Possess a CDL Permit.
- Obtain a CDL License.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured 4-5 year apprenticeship program.
- Develop technical skills, safety knowledge, and hands-on experience.
- Engage in on-the-job training and progressive skill development.
- Complete a self-led coursework program through Northwest Lineman College.
- Advance through defined levels based on performance, training completion, and demonstrated competencies.
