About The Position

OCL Group Inc. is a 100% Canadian owned and operated, employee-owned, fully integrated general contractor providing design-build solutions across Western Canada. Serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009, OCL was founded on the principles of "People" and "Doing the Job Right". We are currently seeking experienced and safety-conscious Apprentice & Journeyperson Pipefitters for a project in Cochrane, Alberta. Local candidates from Calgary and surrounding areas are preferred.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification
  • Must be a registered apprentice
  • Must have valid safety tickets: H2S Alive and CSTS-2020 or WHMIS 2015.
  • Ensure a safe team environment
  • Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Comfortable working outside in various weather conditional conditions
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Must have transportation to get to/from site

Nice To Haves

  • Previous rigging experience working in an industrial setting is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Rigging and hoisting of valves and heavy components using appropriate equipment and procedures
  • Perform bolting, torquing, and flange management as part of valve change-out and installation
  • Join and secure pipe sections according to specifications.
  • Use test equipment to verify system integrity and check for leaks.
  • Ensure tasks are completed in full compliance with OCL’s and the client’s safety, quality, and procedural standards.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong safety culture.
