About The Position

The Excellerate Apprentice I is responsible for installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and enrollment in Electrical Apprenticeship-Level 1 (if applicable). The work schedule is between 5 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary based on customer demands and can include nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel is expected to be between 0-25%.

  • Enrollment in Electrical Apprenticeship-Level 1 (if applicable)
  • Competent with a tape measure and level
  • Knowledge of different sizes of conductors and phase colors of voltages
  • Knowledge of different types of anchors and supports and how to properly install

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrates appropriate skills of a First Year Apprentice.
  • Installs and Bends conduit using manual. Mechanical, and hydraulic benders.
  • Performs Wire and Cable Pulls.
  • Wiring – Stripping, splice two wires, install switch and receptacle, Draw 3 switches to control one light.
  • Assists with material handling duties on the jobsite.
  • Provides technical assistance to other apprentices as needed.
  • Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and provide basic troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Install electrical raceways and wire, lighting, controls, machinery, and electrical distribution equipment under the supervision of an experienced Journeymen Electrician.
  • Demonstrate appropriate skills of a First Year Apprentice.
  • Install and bend conduit using manual, mechanical, and hydraulic benders.
  • Perform wire and cable pulls.
  • Perform wiring tasks including stripping, splicing two wires, installing switches and receptacles, and drawing 3 switches to control one light.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of different types of anchors and supports and how to properly install them.
  • Be competent with a tape measure and level.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of different sizes of conductors and phase colors of voltages.
  • Assist with material handling duties on the jobsite.
  • Provide technical assistance to other apprentices as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.
  • Clean and maintain tools, test equipment, and jobsite.
  • Actively participate in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
