About The Position
Laketown Electric is a large commercial and industrial electrical contractor with offices in the Twin Cities and Mankato, MN. Our projects consist of the maintenance and construction of healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, institutional and industrial facilities. Established in 1975, Laketown Electric is celebrating its 50th year in business. Thanks to our best backlog ever, we have consistent work well through 2027 and beyond.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial electrical field experience
- Registered for Unlicensed Electricians License
- Valid MN Driver’s License
- Perform as a self-starter and a team player
- Must be willing to travel extensively to / from regional area job sites
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to identify wire colors effectively
- Learn how to bend conduit by hand and with hydraulic bending machines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Unlicensed Electricians License
- Commercial/Industrial Electrical Experience
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with national codes and regulations.
- Work on construction sites to build and renovate electrical systems, ensuring all installations meet quality standards.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and logic controllers.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless integration of electrical work with other construction activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and always maintain a clean work environment.
