About The Position

We are seeking experienced Apprentice Electricians to deploy in support of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers disaster response and infrastructure recovery efforts throughout the United States and its territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In this role, Apprentice Electricians will assist Journeyman and Master Electricians with electrical inspections, repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and restoration work in a field-based deployment environment. Candidates should be hands-on, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working extended schedules as part of a fast-moving recovery operation. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting critical federal infrastructure recovery efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts and principles.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 10 Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or coursework in electrical work or related fields.
  • Enrollment or willingness to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist journeyman and master electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand electrical layouts and specifications.
  • Follow safety protocols and comply with local, state, and national electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools used in electrical work under supervision.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks to identify electrical issues and support repairs.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and report progress.
