About The Position
The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Master Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.
Requirements
- Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals
- Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen
- Basic computer knowledge is required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- 2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes
Responsibilities
- Assist the Electrician with basic tasks
- Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment
- Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts
- Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems
- Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
