About The Position

An Apprentice Carpenter will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, learning the trade through hands-on experience and contributing to a wide range of construction projects. Through skill development, meeting project deadlines, and learning new techniques and equipment, you will build lifelong trade experience while delivering high-value results for our clients. Requirements

Basic understanding of carpentry tools and equipment encouraged but not required at time of hire.
OSHA 10 Certification preferred but must be completed within 90 days of hire.
Completion of FAST Safety Training – Level 1 within 90 days of hire.
Equipment training related to Apprentice Carpenter role.
Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing, bending, kneeling.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Willingness to learn and follow guidance from journeyman carpenters and supervisors.
Ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions.
Commitment to all safety protocols and regulations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.
Ability to work in alignment with the company’s cultural Blueprint.

Responsibilities

Assist with measuring & modifying construction materials using hand and power tools.
Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Perform common tasks under the guidance of journeyman carpenters, including: Rough and Finish Carpentry, Structural and Non-Structural Framing/Drywall, Millwork, Trim & Casework, Exterior Façade Improvements, Doors, Frames & Hardware, Glass and Glazing System, Caulking/Coatings and other Specialty Construction items, General Trades and Demolition.
Observe and learn techniques from experienced carpenters.
Learn to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
Operate, clean, and maintain construction tools and equipment, report malfunctions.
Prepare and clean up jobsites, removing debris and discarded materials.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient progress and quality results.
Attend on-the-job training and educational programs to grow carpentry skills.
Follow all OSHA, EPA, and ODH safety policies and company procedures at all times.
